BY FAITH JOSEPH

Joseph stands as an example having faith even when many people treat you wrongfully.

Joseph should have been a prince in the Land of Promise; instead he was a slave in Egypt

Joseph should have retired as manager over Potiphar’s estate; instead he went to jail accused unjustly of assaulting Potphar’s wife.

Joseph should have gotten out of the jail when he interpreted the butler and the baker’s dream correctly; instead he stayed in the jail 2 more years.

It was faith that made Joseph, when he was about to die, speak of the departure of the Israelites from Egypt, and leave instructions about what should be done with his body. Hebrews 11:22

Many people never entrust their life to God because of what someone else has done to them. Are you one of them?

Jacob Joseph Joseph’s brothers Potiphar’s wife Pharaoh’s butler

Life was not fair to Joseph, but in spite of that he entrusted God with his life and became the 2nd most powerful leader in Egypt.

Goshen

Lest we forget:

The writer of Hebrews spells it out that it was by faith that Joseph was able to overcome all that he overcame.

Joseph himself was quick to tell Pharaoh that his ability to interpret his dream was not his own but that GOD will give him “an answer of peace.”

1. Learn the purpose of adversity in your life.

2. Keep trusting your God when it looks like your situation is hopeless. There is no situation that God cannot handle.

Have you been hurt deeply by someone very close to you? Trust God.

Have people laughed at you when you told them what God revealed was His will for your life? Trust God.

Has someone falsely accused you? Trust God.

Has someone made promises to you that they didn’t keep? Trust God.

“God is too good to be unkind. God is too wise to be confused. When you cannot trace His hand, you can always trust His heart.”

3. Keep dreaming His dream for you to make a difference in your world.
