NATURAL CATASTROPHES

THERE ARE TERRIBLE EVENTS CAUSED BY BOTH THE POWER OF NATURE AND BY MAN’S WORK. THEY ARE MAINLY DUE TO THE CONSTANT RELEASE IN THE ATMOSPHERE OF MASSIVE AMOUNTS OF EXTREMELY DANGEROUS POLLUTANTS, PREVALENTLY GASES, WHICH DETERMINE PROGRESSIVE, IRREVERSIBLE GLOBAL WARMING, WITH STAGGERING EFFECTS ON OUR PLANET.

COMMON NATURAL DISASTERS TROPICAL CYCLONES HURRICANES HAILSTORMS FLOODS

MORE AND MORE FREQUENT NATURAL CATASTROPHES ARE OCCURRING THESE YEARS THEY CAUSE IMPRESSIVE NUMBERS OF VICTIMS AND THE DAMAGES PRODUCED REQUIRE ENORMOUS COSTS.

FLOODS FLOODS ARE APPALLING NATURAL EVENTS CAUSED BY THE OVERFLOWING OF RIVERS AND TORRENTIAL RAINS THAT CAN LAST FOR DAYS OR WEEKS. FOR THESE REASONS FLOODS HAVE A DRAMATIC IMPACT ON MAN’S LIFE AND WORK.

ERUPTIONS OF VOLCANOES ERUPTIONS OF VOLCANOES ARE SPECTACULAR BUT, AT THE SAME TIME, TERRIFYING NATURAL PHENOMENA, WHICH RENDER CRATERS A SORT OF SPIT-FIRE THROATS, SIMILAR TO DRAGONS’. THEY CAN CAUSE EARTHQUAKES, TOO.

TORNADOES TORNADOES OF IMMENSE PROPORTIONS CONTINUE RAZING ENTIRE COUNTRIES TO THE GROUND, WITH PREDICTABLE TERRIFYING EFFECTS. THE DAY AFTER…ONLY DEVASTATION AND DEATH.

CAUSES GLOBAL WARMING A CLIMATE PHENOMENON AFFECTING THE WHOLE GLOBE WITH EXTREME CONSEQUENCES ESPECIALLY IN THE AREAS FACING THE PACIFIC OCEAN.

CONSEQUENCES DEAD PEOPLE CITIES RAZED MILLIONS OF PEOPLE TOTALLY DEPENDING ON HUMANITARIAN AID

UNICEF UNICEF IS THE MAIN WORLD ORGANIZATION IN CHARGE OF SUPPORTING CHILDREN SUFFERING FROM DISEASES, HUNGER AND OTHER SERIOUS PROBLEMS. THE ASSOCIATION, THROUGH ITS MEMBERS, WORKS TO GIVE THEM SUPPORT, FACING THEIR HUMANITARIAN EMERGENCIES.

THIS ORGANIZATION PROVIDES PEOPLE WITH KITS FOR PERSONAL VACCINATION & HYGIENE MEDICAL AID DRINKABLE WATER
