SPIRAL GALAXIESSPIRAL GALAXIES

Galaxies are made up of millions or billions of stars. Some may also contain gas and dust which could produce stars from this combination. The most spectacular galaxies are the spiraled ones ( as shown in picture) which are rich in gas. The Milky Way is a example of a spiral galaxy

This galaxy, NGC is about as massive as the Milky Way. Even thought we know allot about the internal organisation of galaxies, we do not know a allot about how galaxies take on their forms. The yellow stars at the middle of this galaxy represents the cooler stars, with the stars on its curved arms consisting of blue stars and pink star forming regions.

This galaxy is only 10 million light years away, which is one of the closest spiral galaxy. This galaxies is one of the dustiest galaxy known as allot of its internal matter is covered by matter which in the picture is represented by the black spots. Although there is matter covering the internal detail we can still make out two spiral arms and some cluster of stars.
