Did you ever hear of a spoonbill stork? If you didn’t, in this report I will tell you about one. In this report I will tell you about a spoonbill stork. I will tell you what a spoonbill stork looks like, where it lives and what it eats. I will also tell you some interesting facts about a spoonbill stork.

This is what a spoonbill stork looks like. A spoonbill stork has a crest in the breeding season. It can also fly with its necks outstretched, and it has a yellow breast patch! A spoonbill is pink and white like a flamingo, but it is not a flamingo or a pelican. Well that is what it looks like.

This is where a spoonbill stork lives. It lives in marshy wet lands. Also it lives in open shallow water and in colonies in trees or reed beds. You might find them in South America, Northern Caribbean, and particularly in Cuba.

This is what a spoonbill stork eats. One thing a spoonbill eats is fish. Also it eats insects, mollusks, and crustaceans. I learned that crocodiles eat spoonbills.

Here are some interesting facts about a spoonbill stork. A spoonbill is not a common animal. Its beak is shaped like a spoon. That’s how it got its name. It takes days until the eggs hatch and days until the babies leave the nest.

In this report I have told you about a spoonbill stork. I told you what a spoonbill stork looks like, where it lives, and what it eats. I also told you some interesting facts about a spoonbill stork. Thank you for reading my report on spoonbill storks. I hoped you enjoyed learning about them.
