Summary of Roadmap Dialogue  BYOD - Bring Your Own Device update (Daryl)  Access to technology in the classroom as a learning tool is the focus  Pilot project for Grade 4 and 2 this year and 1 and 3 next year  School staff has been to professional learning workshops / Device use is intentional and responsible  iPads planned to be used once per calendar cycle in three classes - Apps will be monitored  In addition: Currently 3x 10 iPad carts in school available through booking system. 10 iPad in library  Parents could benefit from a council hosted learning/observation event - "what happens in the classroom?"  Synervoice  Smarter use of the tool with Short highlight messages  Use of the system is maturing

Summary of Roadmap Dialogue  Imran: Are core behaviours/expectations covered by the school in the areas of:  Healthy Eating / Nutrition  Bullying / Respect  Physical Activity  Judy / Andrea:  Respect and responsibility are embedded in learning  DPA - Daily Physical Activity is part of students' routine  2 Nutrition breaks helps maintain blood sugar levels  Sharing assembly by grade 5's was invaluable (growing leaders)

Oscar Peterson School Council Roadmap 2014/2015 Vision Oscar Peterson School Council is an advisory group focused on helping to improve the quality of the school and improve student success. Goal Our goal is to facilitate two-way communication between the school and the parents to encourage involvement in our children’s education. Pillar #1: Numeracy Help parents and caregivers discover new ideas to support their child's learning and development Pillar #2: Technology Provide students access to technology as a learning tool and educate parents on social view of learning Strategy: Sub-committees to create/execute communication and activity plans Deliverable:
