1. TO BE – PRESENTE SIMPLES I am happy – Eu sou feliz You are good – Tu és bom! He is my friend – Ele é meu amigo She is beautiful – Ela é bonita It is a hard job! – É um trabalho duro! We are the champions – Nós somos os campeões They are coming – Eles estão chegando

REGRA DO “S” NA 3ª PESSOA DO SINGULAR DA FORMA AFIRMATIVA DO PRESENTE SIMPLES REGRA GERAL: Na forma AFIRMATIVA, a 3ª Pessoa do Singular (He, She, It) ganha “S”. FOR EXAMPLE: She likes me  Presente Simples (Com “S”) She does like me  Futuro Simples (Sem “S”)

REGRA 1: Se a palavra terminar com “Y” e for precedida de vogal, acrescenta-se apenas “S”. FOR EXAMPLE: Play  He plays video game.

 She tries to ride a skateboard. REGRA 2: Se a palavra terminar com “Y” e for precedida de consoante, troca-se o “Y” pelo “I” e acrescenta-se “ES”. FOR EXAMPLE: Study  He studies a lot. Try  She tries to ride a skateboard.

 He relaxes on the beach. REGRA 3: Se a palavra terminar com “S”, “SS”, “SH”, “CH”, “X”, “O” e “Z”, acrescenta-se o “ES”. FOR EXAMPLE:  She watches TV. Watch Go  He goes to the beach. Fix  He fixes cars. Wash  She washes your car. Relax  He relaxes on the beach.
