Tabernacle Gershom Merari Aaron Kohath E N W S His Sons Moses The Tabernacle faced was an oblong structure that faced east. Around the Tabernacle proper camped the sons of Levi: Eastward: Moses, Aaron and His Sons – the High Priesthood. The criteria to qualify for the High Priesthood: You had to a begotten son of Aaron. There was only one High Priest at a time. This Priesthood worshipped in the Temple, therefore, these are classed as Worshippers. Southward: Kohath, Northward: Merari and Westward: Gershom. This was the Ordinary Priesthood that was given to the High Priesthood as a gift and served as a covering to the others in the camp. They worked around the Tabernacle and literally carried the Tabernacle when the Hebrews traveled. These were classed as Workers.

(Remember, Joseph was to have two parts.) These who camped on the perimeter were the army. These are classed as Warriors.

Murmuring and Plague –But on the morrow all the congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron, saying, Ye have killed the people of the LORD. And it came to pass, when the congregation was gathered against Moses and against Aaron, that they looked toward the tabernacle of the congregation: and, behold, the cloud covered it, and the glory of the LORD appeared. And Moses and Aaron came before the tabernacle of the congregation. And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, “Get you up from among this congregation, that I may consume them as in a moment.” And they fell upon their faces. And Moses said unto Aaron, Take a censer, and put fire therein from off the altar, and put on incense, and go quickly unto the congregation, and make an atonement for them: for there is wrath gone out from the LORD; the plague is begun. And Aaron took as Moses commanded, and ran into the midst of the congregation; and, behold, the plague was begun among the people: and he put on incense, and made an atonement (covering) for the people. A Gift – “And I have given the Levites as a gift to Aaron and to his sons from among the children of Israel, to do the service of the children of Israel in the tabernacle of the congregation, and to make an atonement for the children of Israel: that there be no plague among the children of Israel, when the children of Israel come nigh unto the sanctuary. The Hedge is the Gift! And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none. Therefore have I poured out mine indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their own way have I recompensed upon their heads, saith the Lord GOD. Question: If the Hedge is the Gift, and the Gift was the Priesthood, what is the Hedge today? But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light. The World is Covered by the Church for the same reason as the Hebrews were Covered by the Levites. “And I have given the Levites as a gift to Aaron and to his sons from among the children of Israel, to do the service of the children of Israel in the tabernacle of the congregation, and to make an atonement (a covering) for the children of Israel: WHY? “[T]hat there be no plague (death) among the children of Israel, when the children of Israel come nigh unto the sanctuary. Question: In case of Rapture, what happens to the Hedge. Remember what happened when God looked for someone to build up the Hedge and found no one? The people of the City were destroyed. What were they doing that God was forced to bring judgment? The Murmuring, Plague and the Gift

What had they done to deserve judgment? And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Son of man, say unto her, Thou art the land that is not cleansed, nor rained upon in the day of indignation. There is a conspiracy of her prophets in the midst thereof, like a roaring lion ravening the prey; they have devoured souls; they have taken the treasure and precious things; they have made her many widows in the midst thereof. Her priests have violated my law, and have profaned mine holy things: they have put no difference between the holy and profane, neither have they shewed difference between the unclean and the clean, and have hid their eyes from my sabbaths, and I am profaned among them. Her princes in the midst thereof are like wolves ravening the prey, to shed blood, and to destroy souls, to get dishonest gain. And her prophets have daubed them with untempered morter, seeing vanity, and divining lies unto them, saying, Thus saith the Lord GOD, when the LORD hath not spoken. The people of the land have used oppression, and exercised robbery, and have vexed the poor and needy: yea, they have oppressed the stranger wrongfully. Her princes in the midst thereof are like wolves ravening the prey, to shed blood, and to destroy souls, to get dishonest gain. And her prophets have daubed them with untempered morter, seeing vanity, and divining lies unto them, saying, Thus saith the Lord GOD, when the LORD hath not spoken. You cannot stand in the Presence of God without a covering. God has not made arrangements in case you die. He only has made arrangements that you die not. When they go into the tabernacle of the congregation, they shall wash with water, that they die not; or when they come near to the altar to minister, to burn offering made by fire unto the LORD. (Exodus 30:20)
