What is “Give A Child A Wish”? A project designed to help underprivileged and terminally ill children throughout the state of Florida each school contributes by: -- getting involved in Community Service Projects with the children -- raising money for an organization that helps the children

History In State President School Estero High School made the Give a Child a Wish, the State Project The State President school, Belen Jesuit, re-established this as the State Project.

How can your school get involved? Local fundraisers Contact any of the participating organizations about their projects Create a project in your local school and community Reach out to every child everywhere, every time, and everyday!

How have schools gotten involved? Jupiter H.S. adopted 2 families and donated presents to the parents and children that the families had chosen. Cooper City H.S. worked with the Sexual Assault Treatment Center to provide the children of families with financial needs a Holiday Season they will always remember.

How have schools gotten involved? –Estero High School visited local head-start programs where the children picked out toys they wanted for Christmas. –They then went and bought the toys, with funds that had been raised by the student body, and brought the children to the High School where they met Santa and received the toys they requested.

How have schools gotten involved? Belen Jesuit Preparatory School along with 3 other local schools, Lady of Lourdes Academy, Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart, and Christopher Columbus H.S. put together a music concert. Each school provided two of the eight performances. While the concert took place on the football field, various local food companies sold food along the sidelines. The proceeds were divided between: –The Miami-Dade Police Department –Christmas Toy Drive –China Care Organization

How have schools gotten involved? On March 10, 2007 Estero H.S. took 30 kids with cancer to Disney World. They raised $24, and received many other donations of goods and services.
