Betty Spaghetti Gets PID By: Emanuel Joseph and Tori Bondi

One glorious day, Betty Spaghetti was frolicking through the fields when she met her friend Todd.

Hey Todd. Hey Betty. Do you want to hang out at my place?

After going to Todd’s house to “watch tv”, Betty returned home in very high spirits. I had soo much fun at Todd’s!

One Week Later……….

After a week of feeling ill, Betty decided to go to the doctor to get checked out. After reviewing your symptoms of fever, unusual discharge, painful urination, and your missed period, I have concluded that you have Pelvic Inflammatory Disease.

Have you had unprotected intercourse, douched, or do you have Ghonerrea or Chylamdia? All of these things can give you PID.

Betty was freaking out. Well…um…I kinda had unprotected sex with this guy last week… That’s probably why. Bacteria got past your cervix and into your uterus and fallopian tubes.

I’m going to place you on antibiotics to fight the infection. Your lucky we caught it early because if we didn’t you could’ve been hospitalized, or you could’ve gotten permanent scarring in your fallopian tubes. This could cause infertility or an ectopic pregnancy.

After visiting the doctor, Betty met Todd on her way home. Hey Betty. Want to go “watch tv” again? Todd! You gave me PID you stupid fool!!! I might not have babies because of you!

Umm..my bad…is there anything I can do in the future to prevent this? Well you could’ve informed me if you had Gonorrhea or Chlamydia. You could also always us a condom and limit your number of sex partners.

After Betty recovered, her and Todd lived happily ever after. They got married and had 2.5 kids. Luckily for them Betty never had any complications from her PID.
