Hadrat Muhammad is the LAST & FINAL prophet of Allah

Holy Prophet Muhammad How to call the prophets Hadrat حضرت - We use ‘Hadrat’ before the names of noble, pious and good people, such as prophets and scholars. ‘Alyi-Hisalam عَلَيْهِ السلام – means ‘peace be upon him’. We put these words after the name of a prophet. For example, we would call prophet Ibrahim: Hadrat Ibrahim ‘Alyi-Hisalam حضرت ابراهيم عَلَيْهِ السلام

Holy Prophet Muhammad How to call the companions Male companion Radi-yal-Allaho ‘Anh رضى الله عنه – means ‘May Allah be please with him’. We put these words after the name of a male companion. Female companion Radi-yal-Allaho ‘Anha رضى الله عنها – means ‘May Allah be please with her’. We put these words after the name of a female companion. For example, we would call the companion Umar: Hadrat Umar Radi-yal-Allaho ‘Anh حضرت عمر رضى الله عنه We would call the daughter of Holy Prophet like: Hadrat Fatima Radi-yal-Allaho ‘Anha حضرت فاطمه رضى الله عنها

Holy Prophet Muhammad How to call Prophet Muhammad Allah has asked us to send peace and blessings on Prophet Muhammad whenever we mention his name. Therefore, we say the following whenever we read or hear his name: Sal-lal-laho Alyi-he wa Alehi wa sallam صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيهِ و اله و سَلَّم (O Allah, send your peace and blessings upon the Prophet and his family) Therefore, we would call Prophet Muhammad like: Hadrat Muhammad Sal-lal-laho Alyi-he wa Alehi wa sallam حضرت محمد صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيهِ و اله و سَلَّم

Holy Prophet Muhammad How to call Prophet Muhammad Out of respect for our beloved Holy Prophet, we should NOT call him by his name, Muhammad. Even Allah Almighty does not call him by his name. Allah calls him by his titles, such as “O Prophet”, “O Messenger” Therefore, we will also call him as: The Holy Prophet صَلَّ اللهُ عَلَيهِ و اله و سَلَّم The Holy Messenger صَلَّ اللهُ عَلَيهِ و اله و سَلَّم نبى كريم صَلَّ اللهُ عَلَيهِ و اله و سَلَّم

Holy Prophet Muhammad Birth of Holy Prophet Date? –Islamic date: Monday, 12 Rabi ul-Awal (3 rd Islamic month) –English date: 20 August 570 CE City? –Makkah (Saudi Arabia)

Holy Prophet Muhammad Prophets Parents Father’s name: –Hadrat Abdul-Allah حضرت عبدالله Mother’s name: –Hadrat Aamina حضرت آمنه Hadrat Abdullah had passed away before the birth of the Holy Prophet, near the city of Madina. His grandfather, Hadrat Abdul Mutlab حضرت عبدالمطلب looked after the Holy Prophet.

Holy Prophet Muhammad His beautiful name On 7 th day after his birth, Abdul Mutlab invited his family for food. Abdul Mutlab named Holy Prophet as ‘Muhammad’ –This was a new name for the Arabs. So they asked ‘why this name?’ –Abdul Mutlab replied: ‘I want all the creation of the Heavens and the Earth to praise him’

Holy Prophet Muhammad His beautiful name… What does the name ‘Muhammad’ mean? –A person who is praised all the time and by everyone. –A person who has an excellent character and all the good characteristics/qualities The Holy Prophet also has other names that reflect his personality. The Holy Prophet has said – “I have many names. I am Muhammad (the praised one) I am Ahmad (the one who praises Allah Almighty the most) I am al-Mahi (the one who erases Kufr from this earth) I am al-Hasher (on the day of Judgement, everyone will gather around me) I am al-‘Aaqeb (no prophet will come after me. I am the last and final prophet of Allah)”

Holy Prophet Muhammad Where Holy Prophet grew up? Respectable Arab families used to give away their new-born babies to nannies to look after them. Nannies used to take the babies to the deserts and villages, away from the cities. Why babies grew up in villages?: –Clean air and environment. This is very good for the health of the child. –By living in the desert, the baby becomes strong. –Babies pick up very good speaking/ language abilities.

Holy Prophet Muhammad Where Holy Prophet grew up? The Holy Prophet’s grandfather, Hadrat Abdul Mutlab, was also looking for a nanny. Nannies used to come from desert areas into the cities to find new-born babies. A group of nannies came to Makkah to find babies. One of the nanny was called ‘Hadrat Halima Sa’adiyah’ حضرت حليمه سعديه

Holy Prophet Muhammad Hadrat Halima Sa’adiyah In Makkah, nannies looked for babies. None took the Holy Prophet because he was an orphan. Nannies thought his family will not give them much money for their service. At first Hadrat Halima also did not take the Holy Prophet. But she also could not find any other baby. Finally, Hadrat Halima took Holy Prophet to look after him

Holy Prophet Muhammad Hadrat Halima Sa’adiyah Allah blessed Hadrat Halima and her family through the Holy Prophet Before taking Holy ProphetAfterwards Hadrat Halima was weakShe suddenly felt full of energy and strength Her camel was weak and slowThe camel became the fastest camel in the group Her goats were weak and thinGoats became strong and gave more milk than ever before

Holy Prophet Muhammad Hadrat Halima Sa’adiyah As a baby boy, everyone loved the Holy Prophet. If someone suffered pain in the body, they used to put the hand of the Holy Prophet on that part of the body and the pain used to go away.

Holy Prophet Muhammad Hadrat Halima Sa’adiyah After 2 years, Hadrat Halima brought back the Holy Prophet to Makkah to his mother. Hadrat Halima loved the Holy Prophet so much that she begged his mother, Hadrat Amina, to allow her to keep the Holy Prophet for a bit longer. Hadrat Amina agreed. Hadrat Halima brought back the Holy Prophet to her house in the desert.

Holy Prophet Muhammad Hadrat Halima Sa’adiyah Once after 2 months of coming back from Makkah, the Holy Prophet was playing outside with the son of Hadrat Halima. Hadrat Halima’s son came back home running. He said 2 men in white clothes had opened the chest of the Holy Prophet. Everyone rushed back to see the Holy Prophet and asked him what had happened. The Holy Prophet said: 2 men in white clothes opened his chest, took something out and threw it away. Then they sealed back his chest.

Holy Prophet Muhammad Hadrat Halima Sa’adiyah When everyone heard this, they became afraid. Holy Prophet was an Amanah (trust) to Hadrat Halima and she did not want anything happening to him. She decided to return Holy Prophet back to his mother. So she brought Holy Prophet back to Makkah and gave him to his mother, Hadrat Amina

Holy Prophet Muhammad Hadrat Halima Sa’adiyah What had happened? –Hadrat Jibrail (angel Gabriel) had come with another angel to see the Holy Prophet. –They cut open his chest to take out his heart –They threw away the black meat attached with the heart. This meat is usually associated with the urge to commit sins. –They washed the heart with ZamZam water. –They replaced the heart back in the body and closed the chest. Like this, the Holy Prophet was being purified and being prepared for prophethood.
