2 The Lawyers’ Committee is growing: 2009 revenue: –$5.9 million 2010 revenue budget: –$7.5 million

3 Restricted program funding has surged : $ 1.8 million in 2009 $2.5 million projected for 2010

Development Priorities: Higginbotham: –Meet or exceed revenue goal of $2 to $2.1 million; –Empower Board members with better tools to “market” sponsorship opportunities within their respective firms; and –Broaden vendor outreach. Annual Campaign: –Incrementally expand revenue to $800,000; –Focus on full Board participation; and –Develop stronger prospect pool of non board major donor candidates. Program funding: –Develop strong prospect pools for all Projects. –Collaborate with Project staff to develop compelling and creative anchor projects.

Recent Program Funding Wins: 2010 carry over of $1,477,573: –Funding for the Voting Rights and Mortgage Modification programs, and the second year of the Core Support grant from the Ford Foundation. Since January 1, an additional $265,059: –$ 155,059 from the Department of Housing and Urban Development, to provide training and technical assistance to fair housing organizations across the country on loan modification scam prevention; –$75,000 from the Annie E. Casey Foundation for the Education Project; –$25,000 from the US Department of Agriculture for the Community Development Project and the Heirs’ Property Initiative; and –$10,000 from the WK Kellogg Foundation for the Community Development Project. 6
