Sopley Primary School Annual Interviews 2012

Pupil Interviews 107 children interviewed Two sets of questions for: –Years R & 1 (33 Pupils) –Years 2 to 6 (74 Pupils) 5 key questions are contained in each set of questions

Pupil Interviews

Most Results Improved from 2011 More children felt they were doing well in school and more children enjoyed school. The children felt safer and there was a significant improvement (10%) in children understanding how to stay safe whilst using computers. However, slightly more children were unsure of how to stay healthy.

Parent & Carer Survey 91 Questionnaires Completed Question Themes –General School Feedback –Specific Planet Sports Question –School Improvement Question

Parent & Carer Survey

Parent & Carer Interviews

Parent & Carer Survey Overall Results Extremely Positive 25% of parents felt that the school had improved in the previous year, 62% stayed the same and 1% felt it had got worse. There was a drop in improved numbers from last year but 12% of respondents failed to answer this question. Overall participation levels in parent survey continue to remain high by delivering on parent evenings (87 responses in 2011 & 91 in 2012). However there was a rise in the number of ‘neither agree or disagree’ responses.

Key Points Overall Results Extremely Positive Once again the key message to take from both surveys is that almost everyone, children and parents feel that Sopley provides a safe and enjoyable environment for learning. Results will also be available on the school website.
