Parent/Carer Maths Workshop 30 September 2014

Overview There are 5 maths lessons a week. One of the 5 lessons is a problem solving lesson where children are taught to apply maths to real life situations. Targets are pasted in books and teachers mark these off as pupils demonstrate that they are confident in a topic. Pupils are assessed in November, February and June each year.

Curriculum Puzzle

Assessments SATs tests are written in June in Year 2 and Year 6. Pupils are expected to make a minimum of 2 levels progress from Year 2 to Year 6. NFER Tests are written in June in Years 3, 4 and 5. All tests are repeated in September so that staff plan effectively to raise attainment.
