Biography… Robert (Clark) Indiana (1928-), born in New Castle, Indiana Born Robert Clark, Robert Indiana eventually adopted the name of his home state. He was one of the leading American Pop artists and is known for his geometric paintings that incorporated letters and other signs. “LOVE” is Robert Indiana’s most popular image.
