VA SHRM STATE COUNCIL LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE -MEMBERSHIP Recruiting ALM’s to Chapters Purpose: Increase overall chapter size; increase individual chapter affiliation percentage; increase revenues to chapters through SHRM’s Chapter Financial Support Program; increase overall retention in SHRM.

VA SHRM STATE COUNCIL LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE -MEMBERSHIP Launch Event (CONT.): Secure high level speaker addressing a strategic HR issue for program (SHRM can provide assistance) Provide opportunity for networking with chapter members Provide gift for at-large members Welcome to all guests prior to speaker by chapter president or top HR executive in the community who is also a chapter member Provide chapter and SHRM materials on benefits on chapter membership, in addition to chapter membership applications Assure that each at-large member is ‘hosted’ by a current chapter member Offer two month’s complimentary membership in chapter

Offer of trial membership may be offered at these events in the future depending on success of pilot(s).
