Driving up to Yosemite

Last town in the hills before Yosemite

The two captains meeting up with El Capitan ( )

First hike up along the Yosemite Falls

Looking towards the Half Dome ( )

Half way up – looking towards the Upper Yosemite Falls – ( )

It is getting dark and we have to climb down And darker … And even darker …

This is our tent for the night. If you want to hear, why I am smiling, click here and play it in Quick time. here We thought it would be fare to luxurious, but during the night we found out that not even with all the blankets in the tent – Kristian were wearing 7 and I was wearing my sleeping bag plus three – were we able to stay warm. However this just gave reason for spending 15 minutes of non stop laughing, when we next morning woke up – decided not to try to sleep anymore.

Next morning and we are ready to climb the other side of the valley – here you can see Upper Yosemite Falls and a little bit of lower Yosemite Falls

The trail to Glacier Point is obstructed by a sign, that we then have to crawl under!

Maybe they closed it due to snow ;-)

But hey, that is nothing ;-)

Looking up in the Yosemite Valley towards the Half Dome

As we climb there is more and more snow

Kristian in snow up over his knees

Walking in all that snow makes you tired and gives you long balls.

Finally at the top!

Looking down in the Yosemite Valley – the Half dome is packed in to the clouds.

Isn’t it beautiful – this is my third time in Yosemite and I am still amazed!

End of day 1 and 2 at Yosemite National Park
