Organelles BCR: Organelles Working Together

Maryland Science Content Standards Students will gather and organize data to defend or argue the proposition that all living things are cellular (composed of cells) and that cells carry out the basic life functions.

Notebooks Title:BCR Date:4/22/2015

Objective Students will demonstrate their understanding of how organelles function together to make the cell “work”. (Be sure to write this in your notebook)

Assignment Answer the following in BCR format. –How are the functions of the chloroplast, mitochondria and the vacuoles related to one another in a plant cell? Be sure to explain your response. Read the next slide before you start.

Include information from the text to support your response. Be sure to understand the RELATIONSHIP and not just the function. In your drawer, you will find a “Twister Tools” Find the page that has the Science rubric This is how you will be graded, be sure to read it fully before you start writing Twister Tools

Follow Up What other organelle functions can you relate to one another.
