Picking Operations 127 Orders processed per day 50 orderlines per order Pickers (one order – one picker) –Cooler: 9 pickers (Shift 1: 2 pers. Shift 2: 7 pers) –Freezer: 7 pickers (Shift 1: 0 pers. Cooler Fixed Case/Piece Pick location 60 meters Situation: 130 Total Pick locations -42 of the 130 pick locations are replenished every 2-7 days where just up to 5 crates out of the 42 are picked per day Problem: one pick location means 2.4 meters of additional travel. The hypothesis is that we are going to reduce Travel distances in our picking if we add Flow Case locations, however we will Expect to increased the replenishment of cases to fill up this flow locs. Non popular fixed pick locations U pick travel path

Freezer Fixed Case/Piece Pick location 60 meters Situation: 148 Total Pick locations Problem: one pick location means 2.4 meters of additional travel. The hypothesis is that we are going to reduce Travel distances in our picking if we add Flow Case locations, however we will Expect to increased the replenishment of cases to fill up this flow locs. Ambient Fixed Case/Piece Pick location 60 meters Situation: 102 Total Pick locationsProblem: one pick location means 2.4 meters of additional travel. The hypothesis is that we are going to reduce Travel distances could be reduced if we use additional aisles, and reduce the pick locations per aisle.
