QUESTION Dose hot water freeze faster than cold water?

HYPOTHESIS We believe the Cold water will freeze faster than hot water because cold Water is already cold and hot water is not.

MATERIALS 1. Hot water 2. Cold water 3.A measuring cup 4. Camera 5. Cups 6. Sticky note 7. Sharpie 8. Freezer

PROCEDURE 1. Get two cups from the cabinet 2. Pure ½ a cup of hot and cold water 3. Get two strips of paper 4. Get a sharpie 5.Get a measuring cup 6. Open the freezer 7. Put both cups in the freezer 8. Check after 15 minutes 9. Put both cups back in the freezer 10. Wait anther 15 minutes and check them again 11. Take both cups out 12. See if one has froze. If not then put them back in The freezer 13. In the last 15 minuets check

RESULTS

CONCLUSION After testing our conclusion, the cold water froze before the hot water. Although there was less hot water due to evaporation, the cold water still froze first.
