What is hearing loss? When an individual is deaf, they are partially or completely lacking in the sense of hearing. When they have a hearing impairment, they have a decreased in the ability to perceive auditory information. While some cases of hearing loss are reversible with medical treatment, many lead to a permanent disability and are ridiculed their whole lives.

Conclusion In conclusion, hearing impaired and deaf children ages ten to sixteen must cope and try to adjust with the loss of confidence in themselves by suffer the indignities and ridicule from peers because they have a hearing impediment or complete loss of hearing. A way they can at least lessen the harassment they suffer is by seeking compensation by using other means of communication. Teachers and peers acknowledge this and try to help the hearing impaired and deaf students by showing them and the children who don’t have this disability that despite the lack of hearing, hearing impaired students do not have other physical impairments and that they should be treated just like everyone else.
