What is an ATTITUDE? It’s your state of mind when you approach a person or situation. It can range from positive to negative.

Signs of a Bad Attitude Look- Are you smiling or frowning? Sound- Is the tone of your voice friendly or hostile? Behavior- Are you careful or careless in what you are doing? It’s up to you! You’re the one who determines your attitude and your effect on others.

Why is your attitude IMPORTANT on the job? How you feel about your job affects how well you do it- and how your co-workers feel about working with you! You’ll find that the way you treat your job will affect your: Productivity Chances for promotion Safety and well-being Life off the job

How to improve your Attitude? Understand the requirements Set ambitious goals Get to know your company Trust yourself- Have confidence! Acknowledge the positive and negatives

Put Your positive Attitude to Work! Be Dependable Be Courteous Be Honest Cooperate with others Show Initiative Don’t Procrastinate Upgrade your Skills Be Conscientious Try to Solve Problems Accept Challenges

Attendance!! Being at work or school and ready to go is everyone’s responsibility from the: employees, managers, the employer, instructors, the students and etc.

What does Good Attendance Mean? Being at least 10 to 15 minutes early Not running in the door right on time Never being LATE!

Appearance Outward signs, or circumstances, fitted to make a particular impression or to determine the judgment as to the character of a person.

How to portray a good Appearance Properly dressed- “Do not look like you are an unmade bed.” Good Hygiene- Be sure to brush teeth, comb hair and do not over due on perfumes or colognes.
