THE MEMORY SYSTEM ACTIVE WORKING MEMORY

A place where short-term memory and long term memory work together.

SOMETHING TO ASK YOURSELF Do you lose track of what you are doing? Do you make careless mistakes because you work so fast? Do you have trouble holding things together while using or thinking about them?

SOME SOLUTIONS Active memory needs peace of mind. If you feel sad, anxious, and preoccupied, there may not be room in your mind’s working memory.

SOME SOLUTIONS Control your attention to expand active working memory space. Write down steps before a problem is solved. Use a well organized work space. Underline important points.
