The Prompt When, if ever, do citizens have the responsibility to disobey laws? Using your readings from this unit, to include the WebQuest, Freedom Walkers, Martin Luther King’s “I have a Dream” speech, and the Henry David Thoreau reading in ebackpack, consider: What is a citizen’s obligation if a law is immoral? What makes a law immoral? What are the consequences of not obeying the law or obeying the law? If a citizen disobeys a law that he or she considers immoral, should they suffer the punishment?

Draft your introduction on scratch paper (claim). Consider the opposing argument (counter-claim) Outline your essay on scratch paper, including the conclusion. – Include at least two pieces of evidence. – Use MLA citations.
