1. What is plagiarism? Plagiarism is using some else’s ideas and words without clearly acknowledging the source of that information (in other words, where you got the information from). 2. How do you avoid plagiarism? Use properly formatted quotations. “for example.” Properly paraphrase your work. Check your paraphrase with the original to make sure that you have not accidentally plagiarized.

3. What does MLA stand for? Modern Language Association. 4. List 2 reasons why it is important to cite your sources. Allows the reader to locate information of interest to them. It give you credibility by demonstrating an awareness of your audience concerning the citing of references.
