Sign Up Go to twitter.com and find the sign up box Enter your name, address, and a password Click Sign up for Twitter On the next page, select a username (keep it short) Double-check your name, , password, and username. Click create my account. You’re done!

Customize your profile Upload a picture that will represent you on Twitter. (can be changed later) Write a short description of yourself. This will help others to decide if they have something in common with you and whether to follow you. Privacy Settings: recommended that you stay public (default) at least until you establish followers

Using Twitter Hashtags for Learning

from wikipedia Hashtags are mostly used as unmoderated ad- hoc discussion forums; any combination of characters led by a pound sign is a hashtag, and any hashtag, if promoted by enough individuals, can “trend” and attract more individual users to discussion using the hashtag. Hashtags also function as beacons in order for users to find and “follow” (subscribe) or “list” (organize into public contact lists) other users of similar interest.
