FEBRUARY 2014:- Open House Meet with Jt.DGFT,cochin, Cochin Port, Customs, Customs and Central Excise during the second week of February Training programme at Kannur, Kerala in association with Jt.DGFT, Kochi during last week of February 2014

MARCH 2014 Export Vision 2020 in association with Department of Industries, Government of Kerala,scheduled to be held in the Last week of of March 2013 or in the second week of April B2B Meeting with CZECH Republic officials and the representative at Kochi B2B Meeting with Western Australian Trade Commission at Kochi

ACTION PLAN  To organize events and sessions at various parts of the State in association with government organizations like Department of Industries, supported by Banks.  To bring more visibility of the organization and about our services through Export Awareness Programmes conducted at various parts of the state.  To enroll more service providers, Banks and Freight Forwarders and shippers as our members to make awareness among the export community about our services of FIEO through them.

 Group SMS and Group s to non members on a regular basis regarding timely information about the Policy amendments, Programmmes of FIEO and Grievance Committee meetings related etc.  Personal Visits to Main export houses to make them as our Members.  Regular Telephone calls to selected Exporters who are interested to become our Members. If permitted, we take the final year students of Logistics and Maritime Courses as Interns and assign them with this task as part of their project.

 To conduct Short term Programmes in Export Management,Procedures and Documentation,Foreign Trade Policy in association with Leading Management Institutes in the State. Programmes will be part of the Curriculum of the Respective organizations and can be conducted in the premises of the organizations (Resource:- Various educational institutions shown interest to conduct short term programmes jointly with FIEO)  To organize Open House Meetings every month participating JDGFT,Customs, Central Excise, Port Authorities, Commodity Boards etc., for regular interaction with Exporters (Action Taken:- Preliminary discussions made with the concerned and awaiting reply from them)

Our Submission We are getting requests from various Companies regarding The facility of attestation of GSP from FIEO. We are getting reasonable Number of APTA Certificates every month even though not as expected. As the Export Inspection agency is the only authority to issue GSP in the region, we would Humbly making our submission to get authority for FIEO also to attest GSP Certificates. We are expecting huge volume of GSP attestation from the region.

OWN OFFICE FOR FIEO KERALA CHAPTER With regard to getting a land and other eligible benefits from the Kerala State Government, We have made representations to the State Government Departments like Industries Department, KINFRA etc… We have personally visited the locations (Industrial areas) where the land may be available. Our requests are under Consideration and we are doing vigorous follow ups to get the same Materialize. We would request you sir, to support us in this regard.

ACHIEVEMENTS  Representing FIEO in the Public Grievance Committee of JDGFT Kochi  Representing FIEO in the Permanent Trade Facilitation Committee of Customs Department  Representing FIEO in the Public Grievance Committee of Customs Department  Associated with Coir Board in the International Coir Tech Expo  Associated with District Industries Centre Thrissur, Calicut,Palakkad for conducting awareness sessions across the state.

ACHIEVEMENTS  We were highly privileged to shift to the new office premises at W/Island, the logistics hub of the State where we can focus the Exporters, Customs House Agents, C& F Agents, Service providers,Shippers etc.. To interact with them to make them aware about the services of FIEO and to serve them better in a good way.
