Psalm 24:8
Come People of the Risen King Who delight to bring Him praise Come all, and tune your hearts to sing To the Morning Star of grace.
From the shifting shadows of the earth We will lift our eyes to Him Where steady arms of mercy reach To gather children in.
Rejoice!! Let every tongue rejoice! One heart, one voice, Oh, Church of Christ, Rejoice!!
Come, those whose joy is morning sun, And those weeping through the night. Come, those who tell of battles won, And those struggling in the fight.
For His perfect love will never change, And His mercies never cease, But follow us through all our days With the certain hope of peace.
Rejoice!! Let every tongue rejoice! One heart, one voice, Oh, Church of Christ, Rejoice!!
Come, young and old from every land, Men and women of the faith. Come, those with full or empty hands, Find the riches of His grace.
Over all the world His people sing; Shore to shore we hear them call The truth that cries through every age: “Our God is all in all.”
Rejoice!! Let every tongue rejoice! One heart, one voice, Oh, Church of Christ, Rejoice!! ***
A Different Kind of King Was Esther predestined by God to become queen? If so, did Xerxes have a choice? Is that a contradiction? No, but it’s a mystery. The fact that we can’t conceive of free choice coexisting with God’s predestination simply reminds us once again that he is God and we are not.
The doctrine of God’s providence A) God has a plan that includes everything that happens in the universe, and B) God’s plan extends to the tiniest details of life, and C) God uses all events—good and bad—to accomplish his purposes.
A Different Kind of King Providence means that God is in charge of the entire universe at all times and nothing happens outside his control. Whether you see Him or not, He is at work in your life this very moment. God specializes in turning the mundane into the meaningful. God not only moves in unusual ways, He also moves in uneventful days.
History = His Story When rightly written, history is a record of God’s providence; and he who would read history rightly, must read it with his eyes constantly fixed on the hand of God. From the Scriptures we find basic truths that may serve as the foundation of our understanding of history. This is not likely what you learned in school.
