Repent “From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” (Mt 4:17) Go the Second Mile “I tell you not to resist an evil person…whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also….whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two…” (Mt 5:39,41) Ask, Seek, Knock “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.” (Mt 7:7) Take my Yoke “Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your soul.” (Mt 11:29–30) Rejoice “Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.” (Mt 5:12) Be Perfect “Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.” (Mt 5:48) Choose the Narrow Way “Enter by the narrow gate; … Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.” (Mt 7:13–14) Beware of Leaven “Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the Sadducees.” (Mt 16:6) Honor God’s Law “Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” (Mt 26:41) Love the Lord “You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.” (Mt 22:37) Baptize My Disciples “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,” (Mt28:19)
