hwhy is a Separated God that must be set apart in your life.
Lev 19:2 Speak to all the congregation of the children of Yisra’el, and say to them: You shall be set apart, for I hwhy your God am holy. 1Kefa 1:16 because it is written, Be set apart, because I am separated.
Deuteronomy 12:30 – 32 Take heed to yourself that you are not ensnared to follow them, after they are destroyed before you, and that you do not inquire after their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods? I also will do likewise. 31 You shall not do so unto hwhy your God; for everything that is an abomination to hwhy which He has hated, they have done unto their gods; for they burn even their sons and daughters in the fire unto their gods. 32 Whatever I am commanding you, take heed to do it; you shall not add to it nor take away from it.
Yog 7 shows that Yeshua kept the feasts. The Apostle Sha’ul also kept these Holy Days after Yeshua's death. Acts 18: Acts 20:6 & 16, 1 Cor 16:8
Z’kh 14:16 And it shall come to pass, that everyone who is left from all the nations which came up against Yerushalayim shall go up from year to year to bow down before the King, hwhy of Hosts, and keep the Feast of Booths.
Col 2:16 & 17 "Therefore do not let anyone judge you in eating and drinking or in details of a feast or of a new moon or of the Sabbaths, which are a shadow of things to come, but the body of The Anointed One." The Moon as basis for determining the year.
Psalm 104:19 says “He made the moon for the seasons; the sun knows the place of its setting.” Since the calendar is based on the moon cycle, the arrival of the new moon is a crucial event. In ancient times three witnesses were needed to confirm when the first sliver of the moon was visible. At that time a fire was lit on the Mount of Olives to signal others watching to light fires on the surrounding hills until the message was spread throughout Yisra’el that a new month had begun.
Generally, it is only seen for a short time after sunset, as the sky becomes fairly dark. The moment of seeing the New Moon marks the beginning of the first day of the new month. This explains the Jewish custom of counting days from dusk to dusk (Lev 23:32). Using any other time would result in confusion about whether that day was the last day of the old month or the first day of the new month. As the average lunar cycle is about four weeks and one and a half days long, the Annual Holy Days, such as Passover, fall on different days of the week from year to year. Scriptures that determine the Biblical basis of the calendar: Gen 1:14 God tells us that He has made the lights in the heavens. He also says they are to determine the "signs and seasons". The Hebrew for 'seasons' -moade- literally means "appointed times". Lev 23:4 The same Hebrew word -moade- is used here, among other places, to refer to the timing of God's Annual Sabbaths. Ps 104:19 also reminds us that the moon is used to determine God's "Appointed Times". Ex 12 tells us that the month of the Passover is the first month of the year. Ex 13:4 calls this month 'Aviv', a Hebrew word which means "green ears", referring to the ripening ears of the winter barley crop. This event occurs in April or early May in Yisra’el. Lev 23:10-14 shows that the month of Aviv always coincides with the beginning of the year's harvest in Yisra’el. According to verse 14 they are not allowed to begin eating the new season's harvest until the wave sheaf has been offered on the Sunday during the Week of Unleavened Bread. (ie- the Wave Offering) Thus we can see that this calendar is based on both an annual solar cycle, which is controlled by the ripening of the winter barley crops and a monthly cycle determined by the moon. The importance of the 'greater light' and the 'lesser light' in determining God's Appointed Times has now been established. There is no record of the 7-day week cycle ever having been broken. Calendar changes and reform have never interrupted the 7-day cycles. It is very likely that the week cycles have run uninterrupted at least since the days of Moshe, possibly even longer.
God’s Appointed Times
In Leviticus 23, God calls the feasts “My appointed times”. The feasts are God’s way to remind His people that He is Lord of the calendar, King of creation, Ruler over time, past, present, and future. He established special times to meet with us in a particular way to commemorate events in His dealings with man. When we celebrate the feasts in the way He ordained, we reinforce the relationship He established with us and honor His sovereignty over us.
The timing of the feasts is important...God is very specific on when we are to celebrate these events. Lev 23:4 … “which you shall proclaim in their appointed seasons:” 1. Because of the harvests.. 2. Because of Spiritual meaning 3. Because of prophecy.
Lev 23:1 And hwhy spoke to Moshe, saying: Lev 23:2 Speak to the children of Yisra’el, and say to them: The set feasts of hwhy, which you shall proclaim as set apart convocations, these are My appointed times:
Shabbat
Exo 35:2 Work shall be done six days, but the seventh day shall be separated for you, a rest of Sabbath observance unto hwhy. Whoever does any work on it shall be put to death. Lev 23:3 …a set apart convocation.
1. The feasts are a shadow of things to come that teach us about the Messiah Col 2:16-17; Hebr 10:1. 2. The feasts are prophetic types and examples foreshadowing significant events in God's plan of redemption (1 Cor 10:1-6,11). 3. hwhy gave the feasts so we could learn and understand God's plan of redemption for the world and our personal relationship to Him (Rom 15:4). 4. The feasts, as part of the Torah (which means "instruction"), are as a schoolmaster or tutor that leads us to the Messiah (Galatians 3:24). 5. The feasts will point to the Messiah and God's plan for the world through the Messiah (Ps 40:6-8; Hebrews 10:7).
6. Yeshua (Jesus) came to fulfill all that was written in the (Tanach), which consists of three parts: the Torah, the prophets (Nevi'im), and the writings (Ketuvim – personified by the Psalms) concerning Him (Luk 24:26-27,44-45; Yog 5:46-47). 7. The feasts set forth the pattern of heavenly things on earth (Heb 8:1-2,5; 9:8-9,23; Ex 25:8- 9,40; Ex 26:30; Num 8:4; Eze 43:1-6,10-12). 8. hwhy gives the natural to explain the spiritual (1 Cor 15:46-47). 9. By studying the natural, we can understand the spiritual (1 Cor 2:9-13; 2 Cori 4:18).

Lev 23:40 And you shall take for yourselves on the first day the fruit of majestic trees, branches of palm trees, the boughs of leafy trees, and willows of the brook; and you shall rejoice before Jehovah your God for seven days.
