 Each supervisor should be familiar with the policies, laws and regulations as it relates to our employees. ◦ Examples: Basic Code of conduct usage Leave of Absence ◦ ◦ The policies listed under the UAMS administrative guide may be reviewed at:

This workshop provides participants with information needed to enact UAMS’ most common human resource practices and procedures. Facilitated by HR representatives presenting information on topics such as Recruiting, Compensation, Leave Policies, Employee Services, Employee Assistance Program, Workers Compensation and Progressive Discipline Recommended for new supervisors, HR managers, and those wanting a refresher on these important HR topics.

 The UAMS Office of Human Resources is conducting a series of Roundtables to provide human resources and department managers with information on HR issues.  These round table sessions will be held on a monthly basis and will cover topics relevant to and requested by HR managers across UAMS.

 If you are a new or existing supervisor and would like to hire new employees, COPH is required to go through a process inline with the main UAMS hiring system. Please review the process below:

Submit to HR for creation and posting of position Return to Faculty for Justification of need Send to UAMS Human Capitial committe for approval COPH-HR committee must approve NO YES New hire paperwork submitted and hire process done by COPH-HR Equity tool for salary requested After review faculty chooes new hire and provides disposition codes for those not hired Applications pulled and submitted for review
