Integrated Math Development of the algebra strand begins in grade 3 and continues through grade 8. Scope and Sequence Development of the geometry strand begins in grade K and continues through 8. Placement Guidelines for Grades Five to Six The following placement guidelines reflect input from Directors, representative Middle School Principals, representative Elementary School Principals, Coordinators, Teachers, Counselors, and Advisory Committee Members.

Placement Guidelines for Grades Five to Six I. Placement decisions made by middle school teachers and administrators II. Placement into the accelerated courses to be made no later than the end of the first nine weeks III. Fewer students will be placed in the accelerated courses in the middle schools IV. Placement will be based on CRCT, ITBS, and Performance Series test scores
