Uniform Appearance and Standards C/CSM Honeycutt C/1SG Roberts

Things to Consider Always wear your uniform with the utmost honor and respect. You represent the United States Army past, present, and future. Always maintain good personal hygiene. Remember…to be good you have to look good first.

Class A and B Uniforms References: Cadet Command Regulation 670-1, Army Regulation 670-1, and the BN handbook. Pants must be pressed with clear and defined seams; the jacket must be clean with all buttons buttoned; ties centered; issued shoes; an all white t-shirt underneath the green shirt (males). Skirt lengths will be no more than 1 inch above or 2 inches below the center of the knee. Pumps are not issued and must be purchased separately.

Jewelry Description: A wrist watch, wrist identification bracelet, and no more than two rings are authorized with uniforms unless prohibited for safety or health reasons, as long as the style is conservative and in good taste. How worn: No jewelry, watches, chains or similar items, will appear exposed on the uniform. Authorized exceptions are a tie tack or clasp which may be worn with the black four-in-hand necktie. Male Cadets will not wear any type of earring when in uniform or when wearing civilian clothing on duty. Female Cadets are authorized to wear earrings in the class A and B uniforms, but not with the utility or IPFU.

Hair and Grooming Standards Males: The hair on top of the head must be neatly groomed. The length and bulk of the hair may not be excessive or present a ragged, unkempt, or extreme appearance. When the hair is combed, it will not fall over the ears or eyebrows, or touch the collar, except for the closely cut hair at the back of the neck. The block-cut fullness in the back is permitted to a moderate degree, as long as the tapered look is maintained. Females: Hair that is longer than the collar will be kept up in a bun or braids to keep hair off collar. Hair that remains down cannot be longer than the bottom edge of the collar. Females will not place hair holding devices in the hair for decorative purposes. The devices should be near the same color of the Cadets’ hair.

ACUs Wear the cleanest pair of ACU’s while in garrison. While in the field, wear pairs that are worn down. Mark each set of ACUs so they remain a matched pair. This will ensure they fade and wear down at the same rate. Try to keep a pair of “dress” boots and field boots. Specific items will be required as part of the uniform while in ACUs. These include the BN handbook, something to write on, and something to write with.

IPFU Summer IPFU’s: (1) T-shirt, gray. (2) Trunks, black with army logo on the front. Winter IPFU’s: (1) Jacket, gray and black. (2) Pants, black. (3) Trunks, black. (4) T-shirt, gray, short sleeve. (5) T-shirt, gray, long sleeve. (6) Cap, black. Socks are white, no emblems/logos on the socks, and have to be over the ankle bone. PT belts are required at EVERY PT session. Spandex is authorized underneath the shorts.

Lab Uniforms Uniform 1  ACUs with inspectable items. (i.e. the TACSOP and BN handbook) Uniform 2  Uniform 1 plus the LBV. The LBV includes 2 canteens (full of water), 2 canteen covers, 1 canteen cup, 1 first aid pouch, 2 ammo pouches, 1 compass pouch with compass, 1 whistle, 1 flashlight, eye protection, and 1 camouflage stick/compact. Uniform 3  Uniform 2 plus the assault pack, kevlar, knee pads, and elbow pads. Honeycutt: We need the packing list for the assault pack. Uniform 4  Uniform 3 plus the rucksack. The packing list for the rucksack will adjust to accommodate training. Items may shift between the assault pack and the rucksack.

Do Not Forget…
