WHAT LIFE WAS LIKE IN 1920’S ❖ ENORMOUS CULTURAL CHANGE IN AMERICA * UBRANIZATION * SOCIAL ISSUES * LESIURE and ENTERAINMENT

UBRANIZATION MANY PEOPLE MOVED TO LIVE IN URBAN CITIES AWAY FROM FARMS OR REMOTE PLACES. PEOPLE WANTED “WHITE COLLAR” JOBS INSTEAD OF “BLUE COLLAR” JOBS IN THE CITY. THEY WANTED TO WORK IN LAW ENFORCEMENT, PUBLIC SERVICES AND PRIVATE BUSINESSES.

SOCIAL ISSUES ❖ Fashion for women changed ❖ More women worked outside the home ❖ More appliances to relieve the workload ❖ Women had the right to vote – 19 th Amendment
