Teach Us to Pray Parental Intimacy: “Our Father, which art in heaven…” Our Role: Child of the Father Jesus is the Earthly Representation of Our Father “…that they may all be one; even as Thou Father, art in Me, and I in Thee, that they also may be in Us; that the world may believe that Thou didst send Me. And the glory which Thou has given Me I have given to them; that they may be one, just as We are one.” –John 17:21-22

Teach Us to Pray Praise: “Hallowed be Thy Name…” Our Role: Worshipper of the Holy One of Israel Jesus is the HOLY ONE “But you have an anointing from the Holy One.” 1 John 2:20

Teach Us to Pray Proclamation: “They Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” Our Role: Ambassador of the King of kings, the Lord of all the Earth Jesus is KING OF KINGS “And from His mouth comes a sharp sword, so that with it, He may smite the nations; and He will rule them with a rod of iron; … And on His robe and on His thigh He has a name written, ‘KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OR LORDS.’” – Revelation 19:15a, 16

Teach Us to Pray Petition: “Give us this day our daily bread.” Our Role: Steward for the Master of the House, Our Source and Provider Jesus is MASTER. He is the One in authority; the Chief, the Manager, the Overseer of the universe. “And they came to Him and woke Him up, saying, ‘Master, Master we are perishing.’ And being aroused, He rebuked the wind and the surging waves, and they stopped, and it became calm.’” –Luke 8:24

Teach Us to Pray Pleading: “Forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.” Our Role: Advocate before the Judge of all the Earth Jesus is the ADVOCATE “He is able to save forever those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.” Hebrews 7:25 “And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ, the righteous.” –1 John 2:16

Teach Us to Pray Providence: “Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.” Our Role: Soldier under the Captain of the Hosts of Heaven Jesus is the CAPTAIN “…that they may all be one; even as Thou Father, art in Me, and I in Thee, that they also may be in Us; that the world may believe that Thou didst send Me. And the glory which Thou has given Me I have given to them; that they may be one, just as We are one.” –John 17:21-22

Teach Us to Pray Perspective: “For Thine is the Kingdom, and the power and the glory for ever and ever.” Our Role: Subject of the Sovereign of the Universe Jesus is the AUTHORITY “He said, “…All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” –Matthew 28:18-20

Teach Us to Pray Promise: “Amen!” Our Role: Heir of salvation Jesus is our SURETY. “…The Lord swore and will not repent, Thou art a priest forever after the order of Melchisedec: By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament…because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood. Wherefore, he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.” Hebrews 7:21b-22, 24-25
