Kites

Thread 3 straws on a piece of floss about 3 feet long (let gravity help you). You will need 12 of these.

Tie a triangle as tight as you can. You will need 12 of these. The picture shows 2 triangles.

Use the excess floss on the ends to make a pyramid. If there is not enough excess floss, cut small pieces and use that. Be sure that you are tying floss to floss, nothing should be touching the straw. Leave the extra string, you will need it later.

Fold the tissue paper in ¼, trace pattern. Be sure that the fold is where it should be. Cut what you traced.

Glue in the crease and put 1 straw on glue.

Put glue on inside of triangle and wrap paper around straws

You should glue about 1 cm away from the straw

Rotate pyramid and wrap paper again.

You will need 4 of those pyramids.

Set 3 on table all facing the same way.

Tie the vertices (corners) together tightly. Remember floss to floss, if there is no excess, get a small piece and use it.

Place the last pyramid on top facing the same way.

Tie all the vertices together

Cut the excess floss

Tie about 10 feet of floss to the end with the two papers.

Remember to tie floss to floss
