The Second Coming of Christ & the Restoration of the Jews, according to man.

Second Coming Of Christ I John 4:1 “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.” II Tim. 2:15 “Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”

Second Coming Of Christ Did you ever hear a preacher say: Christ is going to return to the city of Jerusalem? He will set up His kingdom there. He will reign over the earth 1,000 years. All the Jews from all nations will reign with Him.

Second Coming Of Christ The Bible does not teach that Christ will ever set foot upon the earth again. I Thess. 4:17 “ Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”

Second Coming Of Christ Teaching of Christ’s reign on earth & the Jews’ restoration is false. Prophecies are taken from the Bible which are already fulfilled. They are twisted around & applied to future events. Many honest & sincere people believe them.

Second Coming Of Christ I.The Land Promise – (First) These promises had a definite meaning. Yet, men have perverted that meaning. Things are being taught which God never said or promised in any way.

Second Coming Of Christ II. The Land Promise Fulfilled These promises were renewed. To Abraham’s seed from time to time. But, were they fulfilled?

Second Coming Of Christ III. The Promises Were Conditional The Jewish nation, city of Jerusalem would never be whole again. In spite of this scripture, men predict that Jesus will re-gather the nation again. God said they cannot be made whole again.

Second Coming Of Christ IV. The False Prophets Today Many false teachers are proposing to the Jewish people a false hope. This has been true since God made the true promise to them.

Second Coming Of Christ IV. The False Prophets Today Jer. 23:16 “Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Hearken not unto the words of the prophets that prophesy unto you: they make you vain: they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the LORD.”

Second Coming Of Christ IV. The False Prophets Today Jer. 23:17 “They say still unto them that despise me, The LORD hath said, Ye shall have peace; and they say unto every one that walketh after the imagination of his own heart, No evil shall come upon you.”

Second Coming Of Christ IV. The False Prophets Today Doesn’t this sound like the false teachers of today? Jer. 23:31 “Behold, I am against the prophets, saith the LORD, that use their tongues, and say, He saith.”

Second Coming Of Christ IV. The False Prophets Today They make false promises and say this is the word of God. The land promise has been fulfilled. According to God they will never be restored to all the land again.

The Seed promise (second) Gen. 12:1-2 “Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will show thee: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:”

Second Coming Of Christ V. The Seed promise (second) Gen. 12:3 “And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.” This covenant was fulfilled in Christ. Paul tells us it was fulfilled.

Second Coming Of Christ V. The Seed promise (second) Gal. 3:6-7 “Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness. Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.”

Second Coming Of Christ V. The Seed promise (second) Gal. 3:8-9 “And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.”

Second Coming Of Christ V. The Seed promise (second) There are no special blessings to the Jews given in God’s word which haven’t been fulfilled. Who are those which are of the faith? Those who have obeyed the gospel of Christ and remain faithful to God. Whether they be Jew or Gentile!

Second Coming Of Christ VI. The Covenant of circumcision -3 rd Gen. 17:9 “And God said unto Abraham, Thou shalt keep my covenant therefore, thou, and thy seed after thee in their generations. This is my covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised.”

Second Coming Of Christ VI. The Covenant of Circumcision – 3 rd. Gen. 17:12 “And he that is eight days old shall be circumcised among you, every man child in your generations, he that is born in the house, or bought with money of any stranger, which is not of thy seed.”

Second Coming Of Christ VI. The Covenant of Circumcision – 3 rd. Gen. 17:13 He that is born in thy house, and he that is bought with thy money, must needs be circumcised: and my covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant.

Second Coming Of Christ This covenant was for the Jewish nation only. Between God & Israel It was an everlasting covenant Gen. 17:13 Same was said about the land covenant Gen. 17:8

Second Coming Of Christ Does this mean without end? If they were to reclaim the land, circumcision would be never ending. Gal. 5:6 “For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.”

Second Coming Of Christ Hear the apostle Paul: Gal. 3:26-27 “For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. “

Second Coming Of Christ Gal. 3:28-29 “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.”

Second Coming Of Christ VII. Both are one in Christ What about the promise & fulfillment? All Christians whether Jew or Gentile are heirs according to the promise. The Jews, as a nation, have been rejected as God’s chosen people. Anyone who obeys the gospel & remains faithful will be saved.

Israel Destruction Foretold Jer. 23:39-40 “Therefore, behold, I, even I, will utterly forget you, and I will forsake you, and the city that I gave you and your fathers, and cast you out of my presence: And I will bring an everlasting reproach upon you, and a perpetual shame, which shall not be forgotten.”

Second Coming Of Christ VIII. Israel Destruction Foretold This is what God said about Israel as a nation. The fact that many don’t believe God does not change God’s word. I believe God, don’t you?

Second Coming Of Christ IX. Christ Was Rejected Matt. 21:33-43 “Parable of the vineyard” V 37 “ But last of all he sent unto them his son, saying, They will reverence my son.” They killed Him!

Second Coming Of Christ IX. Christ Was Rejected Matt. 23:43 “Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.”

II Tim. 3:16 “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:” Man MUST be willing to obey the word of God, revealed in the scriptures.
