If you do not have an exemption, complete this by the end of your 1 st semester of enrollment. 3.Completed 9 units of course work – no grade of less than “C”. 4.A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. BThen you must: 5.File an Application for Advancement to Candidacy with Graduate Studies: - Degree plan is outlined and shows all core classes and electives, a minimum of 18 units of 200-level seminar courses and a maximum of 6 units of any combination of 295 and 299. It takes 4-6 weeks for the Office of Graduate Studies to process the Advancement to Candidacy. Submit it to Graduate Studies by October 1 for Spring semester registration in the Culminating Experience (RPTA 500) and February 1 for Fall semester registration in RPTA 500.
