Freshman Admission Criteria High School GPA GPA is based on all approved college preparatory UC “a – g” courses Cumulative based on 10th-12th grade All UC Courses taken count in the GPA, not just the required 15-units

Freshmen Admission Criteria SAT I or ACT All freshmen applicants must submit official SAT I or ACT test scores SAT I or ACT should be taken no later than October of a student’s senior year SDSU will use the highest combination of scores if the student tests more than once

Selection Process for Freshmen Outside SDSU Service Area CSU-eligible applicants are ranked on Eligibility Index based on self-reported grade point averages and SAT I or ACT scores. Service Area Provisions SDSU service area applicants who meet the minimum CSU eligibility index of 2900 and fulfill the Entry-Level Mathematics (ELM) and English Placement Test (EPT) requirements will be admitted to SDSU. Applicants between the minimum CSU eligibility index and the eligibility index required of students outside of SDSU’s service area who do not fulfill the ELM/EPT requirements will be admitted to SDSU’s Dual Admission Program.

Average Eligibility Index: 4,077 (983 if based on ACT) Average high school grade point average: 3.69 Average SAT I total score: 1,129 Average ACT composite score: 24 Fall 2004 Admitted Freshmen Profile These are averages of students meeting the selective criteria. Characteristics and numbers will change based on the applicant pool for each semester.

Fall Application Process Application filing period: October 1 - November 30 All required coursework must be completed by end of the spring 2005 term. Freshman admission decisions are made using self- reported information. Admission status will be verified using final official transcripts. If SDSU criteria for admission are not met after the final review of transcripts, the offer of admission will be rescinded. Online application status check available at

Housing Application Procedures 1.Apply for License Agreement online or call for information. 2.Students will receive the License Agreement in Mid- May. 3.Returning the Agreement secures the student's spot. Assignments are made on a first-come, first-served basis. Students choose from several meal and payment plans, as well as special interest areas, such as the Living/Learning Center and International House.
