The University Catalog contains information about the University as well as curriculum and program requirements effective your enrollment term.

A change of program is any change made in a student's official schedule. Changes include dropping a class, adding a class, changing the number of units for a class in which the student is registered, and changing from one section to another of the same course. Program changes during regular registration can be done online at MyCSUDH. MyCSUDH

A grade of "Incomplete" may be assigned if a student is unable to complete a definable portion of course work and indicates that there is still a possibility of credit upon completion of this work.

The Repeat and Cancel policy may be used only by students working toward a baccalaureate degree. It may not be used by graduate/postbaccalaureate students working on master's degrees, graduate certificates, teaching credentials or by unclassified postbaccalaureate students, even when they might take undergraduate courses.

A student may elect to be graded on a "CR/NC" basis in a course that has another grade basis such as "A-F".

A Planned Educational Leave is defined as a planned interruption or temporary cessation of a student's formal education in which the student voluntarily and temporarily ceases enrollment at CSU Dominguez Hills while pursuing other educationally related activities to enrich his/her academic program or to clarify educational goals. The leave may be used for any number of educationally related activities including travel, independent study, work study or attendance at another institution. The intent of the program is to make it possible for a student to suspend academic work, leave the campus and later resume studies with a minimum of procedural difficulty. l

Executive Order 665 requires new, non-exempt, admitted freshmen and transfer students entering Fall 1998 and after to take the EPT/ELM examinations before registering for classes. If test results indicate that developmental courses in mathematics and/or English are needed, the student must: Take the course(s) at CSU, Dominguez Hills; Take the course(s) beginning the first semester until the courses are passed; Enroll in these courses each semester until the courses are passed. If all developmental courses are not passed in two semesters, students may not be able to register or continue attending classes at CSU, Dominguez Hills.

Academic disqualification means dismissal from CSUDH as the result of not maintaining good academic standing (2.0 GPAs or above). The University expects all students to maintain good standing (2.0 GPA – “C” average – or above) in all classes taken at CSUDH, and in all transferable courses from other colleges and universities. Academic probation at CSUDH results when students receive deficient grade points below the 2.0 GPA in their CSUDH and/or overall GPAs. Undergraduate students on academic probation are subject to disqualification if they have CSUDH and/or overall GPAs below the four minimum GPAs listed as follows: Freshmen (0 – 29 units completed) with GPA below 1.5 Sophomores (30 – 59 units completed) with GPA below 1.7 Juniors (60 – 89 units completed) with GPA below 1.85 Seniors (90+ units completed) with GPA below 1.95

A student may change his/her major or minor at any time before applying for graduation. If a student has not declared his/her major and is ready to do so, it is also considered a change of the major or minor.

Degree Roadmaps are available to serve as a guide for students’ academic planning. Roadmaps are NOT a replacement for academic advising. Students are encouraged to meet with an advisor each semester to assist in planning and review their progress. Without proper planning the path to a degree can be difficult! Example:
