...more notes...  Most of the state universities use a formula based on class rank and test scores for determining admission.  If you have lower test scores you will need a good rank/GPA.  If you have high test scores you can sometimes have a lower rank/GPA.

Governors State University  2014 will mark the first freshman class at Governors State. Students will have 3 tracks they can participate in and will be part of a cohort. They will not be able to change majors  Standards for admissions will be released January 2013  Bachelor’s Degrees in Business, Education, Criminal Justice  Extensive Masters and Doctorate programs

Pathways to Engineering Program  C.O.D. also has a partnership with the University of Illinois and their College of Engineering  Program guarantees admission to U of I’s College of Engineering if students complete the Pathway Program  Completion of the program requires students to take a set of required courses and maintain a 3.3 GPA in those courses. Students also must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.2 at C.O.D.  Admission into the program is very competitive

College of DuPage 3+1 Program  C.O.D. has several 3+1 Programs  Governors State offers a degree program in Nursing  Program requires students to take 3 years of classes at C.O.D. and then the 4 th year is taught by the Governors State Faculty on C.O.D.’s Campus
