The Board has prepared a budget that is sensitive to the needs of the community, while it endeavors to balance a quality education in a safe and technologically advanced environment. Given the economic climate we are facing, the Board has made difficult decisions in the development of this budget.

$19,878,237.

General Fund $19,755,959. Debt Service $1,066,135. Total Budget $20,822,094. General Fund $19,878,237. Debt Service $1,075,379. Total Budget $20,953,616.

State Aid $6,594,049**. Tuition Revenue $2,898,025. Local Share $10,386,163. General Fund Budget $19,878, **$1,062,000 less than

A reduction of $1,062,616 in State Aid. Although offset in part by other revenue increases, has forced the district to significantly reduce spending.

Audubon Tuition Students Used to include Audubon Park…now part of the Audubon School District Mt. Ephraim * Tuition revenues contribute 13.4% toward the budget. *Audubon Park is now part of our district. *As a result, we now receive consolidated State Aid as well as the tax levy from Audubon Park. * Tuition revenues contribute 13.4% toward the budget. *Audubon Park is now part of our district. *As a result, we now receive consolidated State Aid as well as the tax levy from Audubon Park.

These rates are for Audubon residents. The tax levy increase for Audubon Park ($110,581) is incorporated into the resident’s monthly rent payments.

 Supplies$168,350  Freshman Sports$31,323  Personnel: Business Office$19,500 Custodial$70,244 Non-Cert. Aides$60,034 ABA Therapist$38,074 HS SAC$65,672 HS Lib Aide$11,800 Elementary Nurse$65,133

 HS Principal$150,576 (Shared Service)  HS Social Studies$74,837  World Language$63,368  HS Language Arts$52,400 2 Part-time positions  Revenue from Activity Fees$40,000  A failed budget COULD result in an additional 4-5 teaching positions district-wide.

 1 of 5 local associations in the state of NJ to sign the “Race to the Top Grant” application.  Moved to the NJ State Health Benefits Plan saving the district over $400,000 last year, that offset salary increases.  Contract settled last year was well below (1.5%) both the county and state average. This, in comparison to other settlements results in $128,000 a year/$384,000 over three years.  Continue to work together towards savings this year…optimistic.

Funding District Commitment Opportunities and Growth Continuing the Tradition of Pride and Excellence…in spite of the difficult financial climate!

What’s the bottom line? What will this cost the average taxpayer? A home based on the average assessed value of $209,000. will cost about $48.00 per year, or less than $1.00 per week.

Thank you for supporting Audubon Public Schools.
