Grocery Shopping Tips Videos and plate method exercises from the University of Idaho Extension. Tips: Videos in presentations should make a point and have a purpose. Videos are good to make things more engaging. One minute is a good length, less may be better. Suggest not using videos over 5 minutes. The links to the five videos on slide 3 are just under five minutes and each video covers a one food group with grocery shopping tips, reading food labels and where the food fits into the plate method. Cutting and Pasting the links on slide 3 is the easiest way to include these videos in your presentation.
The Healthy Diabetes Plate takes the five food groups and helps you visually create healthy and tasty breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. Acknowledgements The Healthy Diabetes Plate website was developed by Martha Raidl, a University of Idaho Extension nutrition education specialist, and funded by a University of Idaho Extension Urban Grant.
