Lesson 5: Water Baptism A. It is identifying with the DEATH and RESURRECTION of Jesus Christ In general, it refers to the act of identifying one thing to another thing in such a way that its nature or character is CHANGED.

Lesson 5: Water Baptism B. It is an ORDINANCE or SACRAMENT ordained by Christ. The aim of this sacrament is to REPRESENT the believers’ entrance into the kingdom of God through REGENERATION.

D. It is a TESTIMONY to others that a TRANSFORMATION has occurred. Lesson 5: Water Baptism

E. It is a PUBLIC TESTIMONY that one is willing to DIE for Christ. F. It is ATTENDING one’s own FUNERAL SERVICE. A funeral service must follow since DEATH to ok place when we got BORN AGAIN. Lesson 5: Water Baptism

Circumcision Water baptism It signified the responsibility to faithfully serve God as a holy people in the midst of a pagan world. It is the CIRCUMCISION of the heart, a cutting away of SIN and a change of HEART. What is buried by faith in baptism is dead and POWERLESS to control our lives any longer.
