Slide # Apostle E.N. Abebrese The unity of the Godhead and the Trinity of the Persons therein.  There are Three Persons in the Godhead. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit have their various roles in the life of any converted soul.  It is not true that the Father changed to the Son, and the Son changed to the Holy Spirit. At Matt. 3:16,17, all the Persons of the Godhead are seen at work. Tenet 1

Abebrese The utter depravity of human nature, the necessity for repentance and regeneration, and the eternal doom of the finally impenitent.  Humans needed a Saviour, because of the enslavement of Sin. Human nature is so helpless to seek salvation.  Repentance leads to regeneration. The Holy Spirit regenerates believers. Those who do not repent, will face the eternal doom that will come. Tenet 2

Abebrese The virgin birth, sinless life, atoning death, triumphant resurrection, ascension and abiding intercession of our Lord Jesus Christ: his second coming and millennial reign upon earth.  This describes the life and mission of Jesus Christ.  He will come again to reign a thousand years with believers. Tenet 3

Slide # Apostle E.N. Abebrese The justification and sanctification of the believer through the finished work of Christ.  The work Jesus accomplished, was final. It was not partial (John 19:30). By that we have been justified – that is cleared in the court of the Lord. Sanctification is the basis of our transformation Tenet 4

Slide # Apostle E.N. Abebrese The baptism of the Holy Ghost for believers, with signs following.  The Holy Spirit baptizes the believer. The evidence of this baptism is speaking in tongues. Tenet 5

Slide # Apostle E.N. Abebrese The nine gifts of the Holy Ghost for the edification, exhortation and comfort of the Church, which is the Body of Christ.  1 Cor. 12:8-12 describes the nine gifts of the Holy Spirit. These gifts are to build us, encourage us and comfort us as believers. Tenet 6

Slide # Apostle E.N. Abebrese The sacraments of baptism by immersion, and of the Lord’s Supper.  The Sacraments were ordained by the Lord. He instituted them and took part in them. These are Water baptism and Holy Communion Services. Tenet 7

Slide # Apostle E.N. Abebrese The divine inspiration and authority of the Holy Scriptures.  God’s Word was inspired by the Holy Spirit. The Word is powerful. It can change situations, and so has Authority. Tenet 8

Slide # Apostle E.N. Abebrese Church government by Apostles, Prophets, Evangelist, Pastors, Teachers, Elders and Deacons.  The Church is owned by Christ (Matt. 16:16-19)  But mortals govern it for Him, by His power.  The order outlined have to be respected, and God blesses you. Tenet 9

Slide # Apostle E.N. Abebrese The possibility of falling from grace.  All believers are expected to be careful otherwise a fall comes. Tenet 10

Slide # Apostle E.N. Abebrese The obligatory nature of tithes and offerings.  Tithes and offerings are needed to provide ‘food’ in God’s house. Faithful tithing and good managements leads to the support of the Lord’s work.  As you pay (bring the tithes) Mal. 3:8-12, God blesses you. Tenet 11
