All about Jesus  Christians believe that there is a God  That God loves us all, as he made us, and wants to be reunited with his children (us).  He can’t be Friends with us because we disobeyed, and rejected him by sinning.  He came down in the form of man, told people to treat people as they’d want to be treated, and showed us how to love, by dying in your and my place on a cross, a horrible death.  Christ means anointed one.  We believe that Jesus was sent by God, as God, to make us and God friends again. Friends  Jesus’ mission was to make us and God friends, so that he doesn’t have to destroy us because he doesn’t want to hurt us.  Being just and loving, means that he has to punish his children for mistreating people, but the only punishment is death,  So he took the punishment for us, who choose to become his friends and children again  But we need to believe that Jesus really is God, that he really died, and that he physically came back to life after dying for us.  We who know also should be baptized and obey the Roman Catholic Church.  If we believe his message and take his hand of friendship, and stay his friend until death, then he promises to keep up the friendship for eternity, and reward us for being good children.  If we reject God, and die apart from him, then we will lose out on God, and be unhappy, and punished for eternity.  Luckily, God knows we are weak, so we can tell him how sorry we are for our sins, and if we are, then he forgives us.  If we are really bad and do things that cause God to have to not be our friend, and make him need to send us to hell, then we are allowed to confess our sins to a priest, who represents God (in confession), and God can forgive us.  If we die in small sins, God will purify us after death in purgatory, but if we don’t believe in him, or commit mortal sin, and don’t come back, then we aren’t so lucky, but God promises to help us, if we choose to remain his obedient children. Love  Love is a sign of knowing God.  The most effective way to treat others well is to Obey God’s law and teachings.  Loving others, and treating them well helps us make sure we don’t leave God, and remain friends with him.  God is Love, that is his nature, it is because of this nature that he punishes us, but also because of it that he sent Jesus, and answers our prayers.
