Using your SAFE account for licensure renewal Log onto the ODE Click on SAFE sign in link Enter account name and password Click sign in After a successful login, the SAFE menu will be displayed Click on ODE.CORE link The main CORE portal will be displayed Click on the “apple” next to my Educator Profile For licensure renewal, click on my credentials (If a license is up for renewal, the action box will be displayed

Renewal process, cont. To renew a credential, click on the Action dropdown Select the correct effective year Click on Add Renew Request Select School as the mail option (Will be sent to Education Center) Click on the correct organization. CPS- Cincinnati City Click on Next Background checks and signatures must be acknowledged If a signature is required by LPDC or Superintendent, enter IRN number Cincinnati City For a 5 or 8 year professional license, enter Cincinnati Public Schools LPDC

Renewal process, cont. Click submit When application is submitted successful, the My Account screen will be displayed for payment.

To pay for a license application On the “My Applications” screen, click the checkbox next to the application being paid for and click “Next” The ”Credit Card Payment Billing Information page is displayed next Complete all required fields and then click the “Submit Address” Verify address is correct and click on the “next” button Enter your credit card information. Enter the required fields (marked with an *) in the Billing Information section Click “Submit Payment”. Click “Pay” to confirm or “Back to Credit Card Details to return to the previous scree.
