325T Grant U.S. Department of Education Office of Special Education Programs GOAL 1: To IMPROVE SUNY Fredonia’s teacher preparation program by graduating highly qualified special education teachers. Grant Criteria: Must have an established special education teacher preparation program when applying for grant One-time five year grant requiring a cooperative agreement with OSEP 2 NYS Higher Education Task Force March 26, 2010

Setting the Context 3 Our Childhood Inclusive Education Program is a merged teacher preparation program. College of Education includes two departments: ~ Curriculum & Instruction ~ Language, Learning & Leadership 7 special education faculty (including Dean Givner) Rural university setting in Western New York NYS Higher Education Task Force March 26, 2010

Developing a Process 6 Five-year funded grant - $500,000 (funded July, 2009) Fall 2009 was our planning semester Drs.
