The NM Annual School Health Services Report Tells Us in :  334,008 New Mexico Students  339 Health Assistants  462 School Nurses  Average of 701 students per 1 health office personnel  Over 2.2 million student visits to health room  Over 90% back to class and learning 24

Health Assistant Role in Annual Health Services Report 25 School health assistant responsibilities: Timely Data Collection Maintaining Records

*Disposition of Students  Did the student return to class?  Go home? Parent request? Nurse?  Was the student transported by EMS?  Was the student sent to hospital, SBHC or health care provider’s office by other means?  Other / Specify such as police or CYFD 26

Remember:  The total number of student visits = the total number in the disposition section.  Only count the student in one category of each visit and list disposition each time. 27
