Workforce Survey DDS- 53%, DH-57% 37% of dentists in West Virginia plan to retire in the next ten years. According to the West Virginia University School of Dentistry, only 12.5% of the 2011 graduates remained in West Virginia upon graduation, compared to 27.5% in 2010 and 42% in 2009.
22% DH said that they were looking but could not find full- time employment 15% DH were looking but could not find part-time employment.
