Example Barrier: Nurse Faculty vs. Practitioner Salary Disparities At least 50% of all full- time faculty earn less than $60,000 A Master’s prepared nurse is the minimum requirement for teaching at a community college. MSN’s can earn between $60,000- $85,000 a year as a practitioner Regionally, we do not have a defined education track in our advanced degree programs. This may change soon.
